The mission of the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC), a state/federal program, is to work in partnership with people with disabilities to assist them in achieving greater community participation through opportunities for employment and independence.

This is a Part-Time, Temporary, Exempt, Unclassified position.

Job Duties:

Assist in providing services to consumers, maintain case records, progress notes, IPE's, etc. Screen referrals, attend staffings, participate in training, etc. Other duties vary depending on program requirements and individual vocational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment in Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling degree program from a Counsel on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) accredited university.

All candidates for internships must have a referral from the internship coordinator at their CORE-accredited university prior to selection. Deadlines are: January 15 for March internships; March 15 for summer internships; July 15 for fall internships; and October 15 for winter internships

Unusual Working Conditions:

Internship sites vary at different times throughout the year. Please call to discuss your requirements.


Comment 1:

Graduate interns are paid $11.50 per hour. Opportunities are for full-time internships.
First priority is given to students who are enrolled in a master's in rehabilitation counseling program. If additional sites are available, then graduate students enrolled in other master's programs may be considered. Master's programs we will consider are: Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, Communication Disorders, Human Services.
